Open website http://www.rachel-seguin.fr In childhood gifted for handicrafts, I liked to draw. So far where I get as a gift a box of paints and it was a revelation.
After a year of courses in the Ouche Valley, I started in 1994 by painting figurative paintings outdoors.
In 1997, I joined the team of painters of the Valley and begins to show my work on the occasion of small exhibitions. CA boosted show what we create and accept criticism. Therefore, it progresses and when it pleases people, it is all the more gratifying. It was in 2004 that the urge to go to the abstract comes. Inspired of heaven, Earth and the horizon lines, gradually my work is refined and intensified. I like to add to my works collages and material that bring relief, that I carve with knives or pen in me interesting reflections and the games of lights they provide. I discovered recently the painting Encaustic (mixture of resin, wax, pigments) and I'm focusing on this technique which offers me the spontaneity, transparency, light, material, that I look for in any artistic creation.
